Frontier Filmmaking Seminar
6 Week Overview
Lecture
Weeks 1 to 3
You will participate in hands-on learning in cross-cultural communication, photography, scriptwriting, video production and team building. You’ll learn camera operation, lighting and sound.
Filming
Week 4 & 5
Join us on a film set to make a movie with our project partners. Together we will use cross-cultural communication skills to produce a gospel film in the local language. You will have an essential role on our film crew.
Editing
Week 6
You will learn editing and post production techniques from qualified experts while our editors complete a rough-cut of the film on location and our producer wraps things up with our local project partners.
Rough Cut & Celebration
Together we will share our completed film’s rough-cut with the local actors and their families. Often this is the first film ever made for this specific people group. Then you graduate!

Education Tracks & Costs
The Frontier Filmmaking Seminar will run for six weeks and students will have an option to join for the full six week training or to join for the classroom portion only. Create Cameroon follows the YWAM model of offering different course rates depending on your home country. Find your country HERE.
Classroom
World A: $1,200 USD
World B: $900 USD
World C: $600 USD
Classroom cost covers: courses, lodging, & meals. Does not cover: transportation to the seminar.
Outreach
In addition to the classroom costs students who come on the outreach in weeks 4 & 5 will need an additional $400 USD to cover transportation fees and ground costs. The cost is the same for anyone coming on outreach.
Classroom Only
Students can choose to take the first three weeks of classroom training only. To receive a certificate the student will also need to complete week 6 of the editing training online then submit an edit of their final project for grading. The cost for classroom only is is the same as the classroom costs.
